Kerpe
Kerpe is a quaint Black Sea village with a blue sea and pine forests and is 10 km frrom Kandıra and 50 km frrom İzmit. Kerpe was built upon an ancient city and has shallow water up to 150 meters and incomparable beaches. Besides facilities for day-trips, there are also hotels, motels and pensions. It is a wonderful town with its natural sand beaches, plentiful fish varieties, fresh clean pine air and unspoiled natural beaches.
Kefken & Pink Rocks-Kandıra
Kefken is 20 km frrom Kandıra and is the most developed amongst the coastal settlement areas. Its most important features are its sea, beaches and its pine forests. The Pembe Kayalar area is a place that must be seen with its interesting geological structure. The rocks are soft while in the water and harden when they are taken out. Due to this feature, during the Ottoman era, they were manually cut into rectangles and brought to İstanbul by sea. They were used in the construction of many mosques including the Sultanahmet Mosque. Fishing has much developed in the region and large fish production centers have been established. Sarısu & Bağırganlı
Sarısu was built 8 km away frrom Kandıra within the Baba village boundaries upon the place where the Sarısu River meets the Black Sea. The Sarısu River flows through trees and produces carp, freshwater sea bass and other freshwater fish. Sansu is suitable for day-trip tourism, camping and tent tourism with its 1 km long beach and blue sea. Bağırganlı can be reached by the Ağva-Kandıra road taking the Sofali turning for 13 km. There are countryside outdoor cafes and refreshment-houses along the village's coastal strip.
Cebeci
Cebeci is 27 km frrom Kandıra and is a holiday paradise with its clean sea, beach and pine forests. One of the region's attractions is to watch the sunset. Kefken Island can be seen frrom here. Cebeci is also famous for its sand mussels called "cik cik."
Eskihisar
Eskihisar is located to the southwest of Gebze and is 6 km frrom the town centre. It connects to the Istanbul-Ankara motorway and the Gebze train station. Ferryboats are working between EskihisarTopçular (Yalova). Eskihisar is relaxing with its historical and mystical aura, its fisherman, port and fortress.
Bayramoğlu
